Budding Photographer

Last night George found the digital camera and figured out how to push the button to take a picture. Here are some samples of his work:

His composition is pretty darn good, I think! We may have another Ansel Adams among us - I just have to teach him how to use the black and white function.

Going free

Andrew is going to be one of those kids who loves to strip, I just know it. He gets so happy when I change his clothes or his diaper - he just loves being unfettered.

I've noticed that when I play music in the house, George gets into less mischief. It seems to have a calming effect on him. Right now we're listening to the Tallis Scholars' William Byrd CD that my mom gave us for Christmas. It is really lovely - not too flowery, just very simple polyphony. It makes nice background music. We also like listening to Mozart while we play. We're real sophisticated folk, you know. Also, the Blues Brothers soundtrack. And Raffi.

First Post

George is watching a Richard Scarry Busytown video. All the children are talking about what they want to be when they grow up - a grocer, a farmer, a baker, and a fireman. The farmer grows his corn and takes it himself into town to the grocer and the people of the town come to the store to buy it. The baker makes some pies and some bread and has his friend Dorothy, the truckdriver, take it over to the grocer to sell as well. sigh. if only it were that simple and nice!
